Reserving Equipment (from on campus)
Using the
Media Services Scheduler, faculty and staff may reserve audio/visual equipment by selecting a time, date, and room number. Media Services will deliver the item at the scheduled time (and pick it up afterwards). Please note, this feature is only available on Lone Star College System campuses or for those connected via VPN.
Classroom Delivery Policy
Classroom delivery is our recommended type of media reservation. Current faculty members may request items for classroom delivery. Students, guest lecturers, and other non-faculty may not request items. Faculty may request items on behalf of students, staff, or other parties with approval from Media Services.
All media requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Equipment requests must be submitted at least one business day in advance. Items must be reserved by class and deliveries will only be made to classrooms (not offices).
Moving equipment without the permission of Media Services is prohibited and any type of data essential to instruction should not be stored on Media Services equipment.
If a request for an item cannot be fulfilled and the intended use of the item allows, the instructor will be invited to complete a “rain check” form. If the instructor so desires, the item will be issued to that instructor as soon as it becomes available.
Media Services reserves the right to fulfill requests with equivalent, non-identical items (i.e. A DVD/VCR player may be substituted for a requested DVD player).
Damaged and lost equipment must be reported to Media Services immediately. Failure to report may lead to restricted equipment use.
Circulation Policies
