Emergency Preparedness Plan
The Emergency Preparedness Plan
A written, up-to-date Emergency Preparedness Plan for your workplace is essential in case of emergency. Make sure you read and understand Lone Star College–Tomball's Emergency Response Plan.
The plan contains information about evacuation from the facility, including who is in charge of the evacuation. Lone Star College–Tomball has a First Response Team.
Primary and secondary escape routes are outlined for every area of the campus. Since stairways are the primary escape route in multiple story buildings (elevators should NEVER be used in fire emergencies), they should not be used for any kind of storage.
First Responders from the First Response Team are assigned specific duties, such as verifying that all students/faculty/staff have evacuated.
Disabled workers and those with known medical problems such as heart disease or epilepsy, should EACH be assigned a First Responder to guide them to safety.
If you are not familiar with our Emergency Preparedness Plan, please contact the Police at (281) 351-3333 for assistance.
