TV/VCRs:
We have a variety of units available for check out. They range from 13" to 32" and are either mono or stereo TV’s and VCR’s some with Closed Caption.
Multimedia Carts:
We have two portable carts containing Gateway Destinations. Each cart has a computer with a CD-ROM and sound card in it, wireless keyboard and mouse, a 32" 800x600 display monitor and all the latest software versions on it. It is network ready and can hit the internet, provided there is a network connection in the classroom. We added to our inventory 3 multi media carts with computers and projectors. They have a wireless mice with laser pointers. They are, as well as the Destinations, network enabled.
Display Equipment in the Teaching Theater:
We have both computer and video display via a 3M one gun video projector. All audio is presented through the in-house PA system. The video display includes most video tape formats, laser disc, and C-band/K-band and Digital satellite down-linking. We also have a computer with CD-ROM, sound card, network card, and a wireless remote mouse and keyboard for computer presentations.
Remote Computing and Presentation:
We have laptop computers, portable overhead and video projectors, screens, an AverKey 3 computer video to TV converters, wireless mice for presentations either on or off campus.
Miscellaneous:
We have portable PA systems, microphones, slide projectors and viewers, audio cassette and CD players, overhead projectors, camcorders, tripods, flipcharts, external CD Recorder, a scanner, a digital camera, an external Zip 250 drive, a Smart Board, and other items.
Electronic White Board:
This is a white board that can be used with a computer and projector and deliver efficient and easy presentations. It's a "what you see is what you get" process that allows you to either print out or publish to the web EXACTLY what you write on the board. It uses regular white board markers and is 4 colors capable: red, green, blue and black.
Digital Camera:
Small, convenient and simple to use, it has a quality level comparable to regular 35mm film. It even operates like a 35mm camera.
CD Recorder:
An external recorder that plugs into your parallel printer port, and comes with all the software you need for fast, easy setup. It even handles re-write able CDs.
Flatbed Scanner:
An external unit that also plugs into your parallel printer port, it has an optical resolution of 600X600.
Zip Drive:
This external unit plugs into your parallel printer port and will handle the new 250MB disks as well as the older 100MB disks.
Video Projector:
800X600 resolution, 1000 ANSI Lumens and only the size of a lunch box! Bright, light and easy to use, it will project a readable image even with all the light turned on! It can be used with a PC and/or VCR.
Destination Computers:
These high-end presentation computers come with a wireless keyboard and mouse, multimedia CPU and a 32" computer monitor or projector. Perfect for computer presentations and software demonstrations.
CD Duplicator:
This will enable us do short duplication runs CD’s. We have to limit the quantity to 200.
Equipment:
Due to finite resources, we request that you reserve all equipment at least one business day in advance. Please use the either the Web Form, E-mail or call us at x3740. You could as well stop by our office at E-251B. All equipment reservations are on a first come, first served basis. We request that you treat this equipment as if it were your own. But if, for whatever reason, equipment is damaged or broken, please let us know. At times, we might ask you what you plan to do with the equipment, primarily to find out if you have everything you need, such as blank tape, batteries, extension cords, etc.
