Guidelines for Main Promotion
This policy delineates the parameters by which an event will be showcased using the three, rotating Main Promotion boxes beneath the main photograph on
tomball.lonestar.edu.
Please note that the ultimate decision about any promotional online posting is left to the discretion of the Community Relations office.
Information posted in the Main Promotion boxes will:
- Have significant impact on students, employees, or the community
Examples of what may be approved to occupy a Main Promotion box:
- Approaching registration or academic deadlines
- Major campus events/offerings
- Winter Wonderland
- Wellness Center
- Arts and Culture News
- Major Drama Production
- Cultural Season Pass
Examples of events that would not be acceptable for the Main Promotion boxes:
- Individual classes
- Club/Organization Recruitment*
- Trips*
- Employee-focused events/initiatives**
*These events can be promoted on the Lone Star College–Tomball home page through press releases.
**Special Content boxes on the portal pages can promote these events.
