General Biology

A CRLA Project by Mary Sharon

This site is designed for students in the non-majors General Biology class at Lone Star College–Tomball. It includes a list of helpful links to active Internet sites where students can find additional information to help them understand terminology and processes in the biological sciences. Each link is hyperlinked to a discussion of the content of the site and the biological principle or system to which it relates.

Helpful Links

Virtual Fetal Pig Dissection with Photos This is a very nice site designed by the people at Whitman College. It requires a shockwave plug-in but it is well worth it. Highly recommended.

· Virtual Fetal Pig Dissection with Drawings This is another fetal pig site with drawings rather than photos and animations. Recommended.

· Lone Star College-North Harris Biology. A good place for everything.

GAMES!!!
Choose any of the following topics and go play some games that can help you learn about it! These games were created at Quia.com and are pretty neat. Most of the games include matching, concentration, word searches, and quizzes. ENJOY!
