Admissions Criteria
All students interested in entering the Pharmacy Technology Program must contact the Program Director, Dr. Nancy Lim, at 281-681-5727 or at
Nancy.L.Lim@lonestar.edu to determine eligibility and prerequisite requirements prior to registration.

- Students must be accepted for enrollment into Lone Star College-North Harris.
- All official transcripts from any previously-attended colleges, universities or other institutions of post-high school must have been received by Admissions and processed.
- Applicants must have official documentation of college-level reading, writing, and math by :
1) submitting previous college and/or high school transcriptions showing appropriate grades from college-level classes;
2) submitting COMPASS, THEA, or ASSET exam scores; or
3) taking and passing an assessment text such as THEA or COMPASS at any campus assessment center.
- Applicants must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Applicants must obtain a criminal background check and make the results available to the program director. The background check may only be obtained from a college-approved vendor who will provide this service at the student's cost.
- Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen test as many pharmacies and other healthcare facilities may require a clean drug screen prior to clinical affiliation.
- Applicants must be able to complete the Hepatitis B immunization series (or show proof of immunity), which is administered over a 3 - 6 month period, prior to initiating their clinical course.
