Loans By Web

Beginning with the 2006-2007 year, your application for a Stafford or Parent Loan must be made through TG Loans By Web. Lone Star College System and Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (TG) have teamed up to provide you a web-based way of applying for a loan. Called TG Loans By Web, this site will guide you step-by-step through completing and submitting an applicaiton. The following provides you an overview of the process.

1. Complete the Loan Request From and Debit Card Authorization.
2. Turn in your loan request to the college that processed your financial aid.
3. The school will certify your loan and will send you an e-mail notification.
4. Once you receive the em-mail notification, you are ready to go online and complete your loan application.
5. Review or enter your reference information, including address and phone numbers.
6. Select your lender. A list of preferred lenders to choose from is available online. Lenders that accept electronic signatures are designated with an asterisk.
7. Review and submit your loan award information. (Click Back at the bottom of the screen to make changes.)
8. Print the MPN for a guaranteed loan or have TG print and mail an MPN to you. Youmay click E-Sign to sign an MPN for a lender that accepts electronic signatures.
9. Click Close.
10. I fyou choose to print or have TG print & mail an MPN to you, please sign, date, and mail one copy of your printed MPN to your lender. Your lender will not release funds for your loan until it has received the signed MPN from you.
11. Entrance counseling: First-time students at Lone Star College System must complete at their Lone Star College System college campus.
